Abigail J. Rex, CPM, ARM – Senior Regional Property Manager

Abigail-RexAbigail J. Rex, Senior Regional Property Manager specializing in multi-family and HOA properties, has been with Capital Growth Properties since 2007 and has more than 16 years in the industry altogether. Her approach to her career can be summarized in a quotation from the late, great Steve Jobs: “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” And the best way to understand how much she loves what she does is to quote Abigail, herself:

The thrill of my job is the excitement that comes with it each day as no two days are every the same. Sure, I’ve got routine work, but I love the hustle and bustle of being crazy-mad, and that’s what multi-site, portfolio management gives me. I’m passionate about what I do and who I do it for: the Company, the Team, the Clients, the Heartburn. It’s always welcomed and begged for!

During her tenure at CGP, Abigail has been named Certified Property Manager (CPM) of the Year by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), of which she’s also a member. She’s also a member of San Diego County Apartment Association.

Mary Rice, CPM – Senior Property Manager
Mary-RiceSenior Property Manager Mary Murphy Rice has spent the great majority of her 25-year career in the leasing and brokerage industry with Capital Growth Properties, having joined our company in 1994. She specializes in managing retail, office, medical office, and apartment properties. Her primary goal is to ensure that the needs of landlords and tenants are met. Mary’s dedication to excellence in serving her clients has been recognized in the form of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Key Award and the CGP President’s Award, which she won in 2014.

Mary graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor of arts degree in public administration. She also obtained a paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego. Her favorite pastimes include hanging out with her family and gardening.

Megan Schwan – Regional Property Manager

Megan-SchwanMegan Schwan joined the Capital Growth Properties team as a Regional Property Manager in 2015, bringing eight years of professional experience in the leasing industry to the company. She obtained her California salesperson’s license in 2014 and has quickly distinguished herself at CGP. She believes that to provide real service to clients, you must add two things which cannot be bought or measured with money: sincerity and integrity. This philosophy aligns itself perfectly with CGP’s values.

Megan graduated with an associate of occupational studies degree from California College, San Diego. She spends her free time participating in outdoor activities, traveling, watching sports, and enjoying time with her family.

Megan M. Aarnaes, CPM – Regional Property Manager

Megan-AarnaesAs a Regional Property Manager for Capital Growth Properties, Megan M. Aarnaes manages commercial assets, including both office and retail properties, in an effort to help owners meet their specific real estate goals and financial objectives. She has been steadfast in her commitment to serving our clients’ best interests since joining CGP in 2010. Megan has now spent more than half of her ten years in the leasing and brokerage industry with our company.

Megan earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 2015. She has since gone on to become the chairman of the finance committee for IREM San Diego.

Prior to entering her professional career in real estate, Megan graduated from the University of California San Diego with a bachelor of arts degree. She enjoys spending her free time playing tennis, hiking with her husband and dogs, and traveling.

Dennis J. Notaro, CPM – Senior Regional Property Manager

Dennis-NotaroSenior Regional Property Manager Dennis J. Notaro has been with Capital Growth Properties since 2001, constituting roughly half of his 30 years in the industry. He specializes in managing retail, office, residential, mixed-use, and industrial properties. After three decades of experience, he remains as motivated as ever by the constant challenges that rise to meet him every day in property management.

Dennis has been named CGP Most Valuable Player seven times, including six consecutive years (2004-2009) and most recently in 2014. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Prior to commencing his career in property management, Dennis graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from California State University of Pennsylvania. When he isn’t busy serving our clients, he can probably be found somewhere outdoors, perhaps hitting the beach. He also enjoys home improvement projects, movies, theater, and traveling.

Jill Morton – Senior Vice President

Jill-MortonJill Morton is one of the Senior Vice Presidents of Capital Growth Properties, specializing in the leasing and selling of retail, office, industrial, and multi-family properties. She returned to CGP in 2013 after a 13-year tenure with the company spanning 1983 to 1996. In addition to 26 years of professional experience, Jill brings to CGP a passion for creating mutually beneficial unions between landlords and tenants and buyers and sellers that is rare in our industry.

Jill earned her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation in 1985. Prior to that, she graduated from the University of San Diego with a bachelor of science in business administration. When Jill is not busy making ideal real estate matches, she can often be found enjoying the great outdoors.

Darlene Pradarelli – Senior Vice President Brokerage & Leasing

She joined the company just seven years into her career in the leasing industry and has remained here ever since. During her tenure at CGP, she has been awarded the title of Salesperson of the Year for four consecutive years, a reflection of the joy she derives from leasing and selling office and retail property and negotiating the best deals possible on behalf of her clients.

Before commencing her career in leasing, Darlene earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When she isn’t negotiating commercial real estate transactions for her clients, she spends her free time doing yoga and reading mystery novels.

Todd Law – Vice President – Commercial Leasing and Brokerage

Todd-LawTodd Law, Vice President of Commercial Leasing and Brokerage, has spent 11 of his 14 years in the commercial leasing industry with Capital Growth Properties. He performs a diverse range of duties for the company, acting as a commercial leasing consultant, landlord and tenant representative, and commercial market analyst, among other roles. He uses his keen financial and analytic skills, expertise, and market knowledge to advise clients in the evaluation of relocation alternatives, lease negotiations, portfolio management, and other strategic planning issues. Across all of his professional initiatives, Todd’s primary objective is to create solutions that align a client’s real estate needs with his or her short- and long-term business plans.

Since graduating from San Diego State University, Todd has been an invaluable member of the CGP team, winning the Salesperson of the Year honor three consecutive years (2012-2014). He has been an equally valued member of various national and local organizations, including the National Association of Realtors, the La Jolla Real Estate Brokers Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the La Jolla Kiwanis Club. When he is not actively engaged in his profession or serving his community, Todd is probably playing tennis or golf, running, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, or reading.

Gregory W. Wagner – Senior Vice President

Gregory W. Wagner is one of the Senior Vice Presidents of Capital Growth Properties, specializing in asset reallocation, investment analysis, and sales. He also has a rich background in real estate, business, zoning, and land use law, having previously been a partner at Conrard, Friday & Wagner, a prominent San Diego law firm. Prior to that, he was a practicing trial attorney with the law firm of Herring, Stubel & Lehr in San Diego, where he handled cases involving real property, zoning, and land use. Before commencing his legal career, Greg was responsible for financial analysis, project development, sales, and leasing as real estate manager of Santa Fe Pacific Realty, also in San Diego.
Greg’s broad professional expertise is reflected in his diverse range of educational studies. He earned his bachelor’s degree in geography with a focus on land use planning from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, after which he went on to take graduate courses in management, planning, and statistics at Indiana University School of Public Administration in Bloomington, Indiana. While at Indiana University, he shifted his focus to law, attending the university’s School of Law before moving onto the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where he earned his Juris Doctor. Since then, Greg has taken continuing education courses in executive management at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Greg is still admitted to practice law in the state of California and remains a licensed California real estate broker. He is also an active member of the San Diego community as President of United States Track and Field (USATF) San Diego and as part of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

John Hoyne – Regional Property Manager
johnhoyneheadshotRegional Property Manager John Hoyne joined Capital Growth Properties in 2014 and has spent his entire career in commercial property management to date with CGP. He oversees commercial properties, including office, retail, and industrial spaces, by managing relationships and increasing profitability for CGP’s clients. His forward-thinking problem-solving skills and creative approach to property management have made him a perfect fit with the CGP team.

Before beginning his professional career, John graduated with a bachelor of science in business administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
